How to deal with depression
Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity. It can affect a person’s thoughts, behavior, motivation, feelings, and sense of well-being. It may feature sadness, difficulty in thinking and concentration and a significant increase or decrease in appetite and time spent(Wikipedia).
For all my life I have battled with depression. I have overcome deep depression, and that’s why I want to share more than 10 tips on how to overcome depression. If you are one of the depression warriors, I salute you. I am thinking of you. I pray that you know that you are not alone.
In the morning when I wake up I pray. I pray to God to ask him if he will help me to have a good day. I awknowledge him in all that I will do. I say out loud: this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Decree and declare
I have written costume made declaration that I declare over my life.
I love praying Gods word over my life, because it is very effective. My favourite scripture is: I can do all things trough Christ who strenghtens me.
- Never skip a meal
- Take a vitamine complex B
- Boost your mood with foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Meet with friends often. Spending time with loved ones makes it easy to forget about the negative things in your life for awhile.
Make a list of things you like to do and actually do them.
Exercising is a powerful depression fighter and one of the most important tools to recover.Move your body for at least 30 minutes.
Go for a walk with a friend
If you are into walking, walk it out.
research shows that when you focus on the things you are grateful for you can not in the same time be scared. Having a gratitude journal beats anxiety. Write down 5 things you are grateful for every morning during your morning routine.
Take the time to create your personal visionbard with things you want to accomplish. Pray over your vision board dayly. Its a fact that whatever you have as a vision you will see come to pass in your life. Focus on the good things.
Counseling and coaching
Counseling is for dealing with the past and helps you to navigate trough your past and current issues. Coaching helps to accomplish goals. Both counseling and coaching can help you to beat the ugly beast called depression.
